Wow, how low can upper management go? Firing a manager that has been rumored to be on the chopping block is one thing. But, to do it at 3:15 AM via a press release? After game one of a six game road trip?
I think I speak for everyone here when I say, “What the f!@%?”
Shame on you, upper level Mets managment. You could have done this with much more dignity than to issue PR in the dead of night.
At least I slept just as good, nonetheless…

I’ve been watching ESPN and reading some of the New York tabloid websites, and everyone is all over the Mets for how they handled the firing. You mentioned when the announcement was made. And Willie was fired one game into a six game road trip out west, which is adding more fuel to the fire.
